Ward Picnic/BBQ

Saturday August 29, @ Cherry Farm, 5:00 pm. The ward will provide meat, utensils, drinks. BYO: blanket or chairs to sit on, and a side dish to share. Ward members can call with questions 475-0802. Sounds like a fun way to top off the summer! Hope to see you all there.

Update on our Hike

Thanks to all who participated on our hike on Thursday. We had a great time. Getting lost was a definite highlight. You would think it would have made for an unsuccessful night, when in fact it added to the fun. We even thought of several lessons that could be taught and learned from the experience. While muscles were being strengthened so were friendships. And the smoothies were a welcome treat to top off the night. We look forward to more activities and hope they will all be as much fun.

Enrichment Acitvities

QUILTING:
On Tuesday August 11, at 10:00 am we will be setting up a quilt to tie. This will be up until the quilt is done. Let your kids come and play while you help. It will be set up in the cultural hall so there will be a lot of room to move around.

THE MILD HIKE:
Thursday August 20 we are meeting at the church at 6:30. Then we will be carpooling to Washington Park Golf Course, which is above 36th Street. There is a trail around the golf course we will be walking. It takes about 45 min to an hour to walk. Afterwards we will be going for smoothies to top off the night!

We Need Your Help

On July 16 we will be putting together school kits. Here are some suggested items needed to put in the kits: pencils, 1 pack lined paper, 1 box crayons, looseleaf binder, spiral bound notebook, folders, glue sticks, type paper, and backpacks if still in great condition. There are some optional items suggested like pencil sharpener, colored pencils, ruler, scissors, kleenex, bottle glue, and pencil holder. If you cannot make it that evening and would like to donate please contact one of the Relief Society Presidency.
We have also been asked to tie two quilts, which we will be doing that same night.
And to make it a little more fun we are inviting those who would like to, to bring a treat to share with everyone.
It will be a fun evening where we can enjoy each others company, share friendships and get to know each other a little better while doing service. Thank you for all you do. Hope to see you there.

Up Coming Enrichment Night

Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 7:00 pm.
We will be discussing food storage. A lite meal will be served and a children's class will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled

FYI. The Ward party scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to the weather. Another activity is in the works for a later date. Watch for future announcements. Hope everyone has a special Easter.
