Craft and Project Activity

Thursday November 19 at 7:00 pm we will meet at the church to do a Christmas craft and to work on any other project you may want to finish. Laurie Drean will also be doing her quiting class for those doing quilts.

Remember to bring your scissors.

A nursey will be provided.

Game Night

We really had a great night and I'm sure all you came enjoyed the time together. Playing flag football or just other games, then having time to visit and enjoy some treats. Let's do it again soon.

RS Enrichment Game Night

October 15, 2009 @ 6;30
Enrichment activity for October will be a game night. We will be playing flag football at the park on 1900 E and South Weber Dr. at 6:30. If you are not into that game then come to the church at 6:30 and play other games. We will then all meet at the church at 7:15 for a fall dessert. [Bring your favorite fall dessert to share.] Even if you are not into games, please just come and visit with your ward sisters.

Debbie Cowdin

This is to let you all know that Debbie's father passed away last night. (monday 8pm). Please let her and Dave know how much they are loved in our ward . The funeral will be this Saturday.

Jenny Phillips Fireside

I am so sorry so many of you miss this as it was great and well worth while going to. The message and songs were very inspiritual. The treats after were good too. Thank you Jennifer, Peggy and Jodi for your help in getting it together.

Enrichment Night

We will be have a Tri-Ward Enrichment Night this Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00 pm.
Jenny Phillips, an inspirational LDS music artist, will be doing a program of music and narration.

Husband and YM/YW are invited.
It will be Sunday Dress and Light refreshment will be served.
Come and enjoy, bring your neighbors for a great night out.

The place has been changed to the Central Park by the firestation. Make sure you get the word out to all you know. Hope to see you there.

Ward Picnic/BBQ

Saturday August 29, @ Cherry Farm, 5:00 pm. The ward will provide meat, utensils, drinks. BYO: blanket or chairs to sit on, and a side dish to share. Ward members can call with questions 475-0802. Sounds like a fun way to top off the summer! Hope to see you all there.

Update on our Hike

Thanks to all who participated on our hike on Thursday. We had a great time. Getting lost was a definite highlight. You would think it would have made for an unsuccessful night, when in fact it added to the fun. We even thought of several lessons that could be taught and learned from the experience. While muscles were being strengthened so were friendships. And the smoothies were a welcome treat to top off the night. We look forward to more activities and hope they will all be as much fun.

Enrichment Acitvities

QUILTING:
On Tuesday August 11, at 10:00 am we will be setting up a quilt to tie. This will be up until the quilt is done. Let your kids come and play while you help. It will be set up in the cultural hall so there will be a lot of room to move around.

THE MILD HIKE:
Thursday August 20 we are meeting at the church at 6:30. Then we will be carpooling to Washington Park Golf Course, which is above 36th Street. There is a trail around the golf course we will be walking. It takes about 45 min to an hour to walk. Afterwards we will be going for smoothies to top off the night!

We Need Your Help

On July 16 we will be putting together school kits. Here are some suggested items needed to put in the kits: pencils, 1 pack lined paper, 1 box crayons, looseleaf binder, spiral bound notebook, folders, glue sticks, type paper, and backpacks if still in great condition. There are some optional items suggested like pencil sharpener, colored pencils, ruler, scissors, kleenex, bottle glue, and pencil holder. If you cannot make it that evening and would like to donate please contact one of the Relief Society Presidency.
We have also been asked to tie two quilts, which we will be doing that same night.
And to make it a little more fun we are inviting those who would like to, to bring a treat to share with everyone.
It will be a fun evening where we can enjoy each others company, share friendships and get to know each other a little better while doing service. Thank you for all you do. Hope to see you there.

Up Coming Enrichment Night

Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 7:00 pm.
We will be discussing food storage. A lite meal will be served and a children's class will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Easter Egg Hunt Cancelled

FYI. The Ward party scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to the weather. Another activity is in the works for a later date. Watch for future announcements. Hope everyone has a special Easter.

Thanks For All Your Help

Our March Enrichment Night was a fun and uplifting evening. While “Shopping at Zion’s Mall” we learned more about the gifts of Relief Society. We would like to thank our Enrichment Committee for all the time and effort they put into making the evening such a success. We would also like to give a special thanks to Julie Thorton, Heidi Tyler, Debbi Cowdin, Carol Anderson, and Donna Russell for their wonderful and creative ways of introducing each gift of Relief Society. Thank you to Becky Teri and her two helpers for providing a nursery where our little ones could go. Also thanks to all those who provided the yummy cakes. We have a great group of Relief Society sisters and it is wonderful when we can get together to share with each other. Thank you for all you do.

Relief Society Birthday Celebration

We are so excited about our Relief Society Birthday Party coming up on Thursday, March 19. The title of the evening is The Gifts of Relief Society “Shopping at Zion’s Mall.” Our enrichment committee has been working hard at planning an eventful and uplifting evening for everyone. There will even be birthday cake. We are looking forward to sharing this evening with all of you. And don’t forget, a nursery will be provided.
